Cence Power is seeking a talented Sales Engineer to join our team. Reporting directly to the President, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales and providing technical expertise to clients interested in our innovative power delivery solutions. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure client requirements are met with precision and efficiency. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between our groundbreaking technology and our client’s needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients.
  • Present and demonstrate Cence Power’s products and solutions to clients.
  • Provide technical support and expertise during the sales process.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to tailor solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on technical writing activities (spec sheets, product manuals, blog posts, etc…) and other sales related marketing initiatives.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals.
  • Negotiate and close sales deals.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Assist in the development of sales strategies, forecasts and plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Proven experience in a technical sales role, preferably within the power systems or electrical engineering industry.
  • Strong understanding of low and high voltage DC power systems.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

You Will Stand out if you have:

  • Experience working as an Electrician
  • Strong knowledge of the various electrical codes in North America
  • Been on technical standards committees or code making committees in the past with UL or CSA
  • Experience with electrical distribution
  • Experience in lighting sales
