As the VP Finance you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all financial aspects of the organization. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, driving financial planning and analysis, and ensuring the company's financial health and sustainability.

Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and business planning.
- Collaborate with other executives and department heads to drive operational efficiencies, cost optimization, and revenue growth.
- Identify opportunities for expansion, mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures, and assess their financial viability and impact.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and policies to drive business growth and profitability.
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
- Conduct financial analysis, performance monitoring, and variance analysis to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and taxation laws.
- Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit process and manage relationships with financial institutions, investors, and stakeholders.
Treasury and Cash Management:
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support operational needs and investment requirements.
- Optimize capital structure, debt financing, and investment decisions to maximize returns and minimize risks.
- Monitor and mitigate financial risks, including foreign exchange risk, interest rate risk, and credit risk.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration and communication to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 5 - 10 years of proven experience in a senior financial leadership role. Manufacturing industry is an asset.
- Strong understanding of financial management principles, accounting standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of driving financial performance and business results.
- Experience implementing or optimizing the use of ERP systems
- Proficient use of financial modeling and business intelligence tools to drive decisions.
- A motivated, curious, adaptable finance leader with a mindset for innovation.
