Senior Release Engineer
As a Senior Release Engineer within Arctic Wolf, you will be responsible for managing, overseeing and executing our Endpoint software release cycles - from planning and coordination to deployment and support - ensuring every deployment is smooth and minimally disruptive. You will collaborate closely with our Engineering, Product and Customer Success teams to guarantee release readiness and high quality delivery with a heavy focus on automation and reliability.
Required Qualifications
5 or more years of professional experience as a Software Release/Deployment Engineer, DevOps Engineer, SRE Engineer or equivalent role
Demonstrable working knowledge and experience with Python and/or Go
Experience working with or leading an Agile/Scrum team
Experience being directly involved in large scale or enterprise software releases
Expertise in release automation and orchestration frameworks/tools
Experience with SQL or other data query/visualization tooling
Preferred Qualifications
Experience debugging and deciphering network and/or endpoint device logs
Experience with CI/CD tooling and best practices (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub)
Experience working with AWS/vSphere/Azure
Experience deploying agent based software to Windows, macOS and Linux endpoints
About the role
You’ll be working as an Senior Release Engineer on our Endpoint Security - Production Engineering team responsible for executing, monitoring and validating Arctic Wolf’s endpoint software deployments.
Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will be:
Plan, coordinate and execute software releases across customer environments and geographies
Develop and maintain automated release deployment and rollback strategies
Collaborate with software developers, QA, customer support and product teams to ensure release readiness and quality
Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues and assist with root cause analysis
Build runbooks and documentation for internal teams and end users
Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements during deployments
Contribute to continuous improvement of team processes leveraging automation to ensure efficiency and reliability
Evaluate and implement new relevant technologies and tools
Mentor junior engineers
Assist and contribute to intra/inter team planning
