About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our Engineering Services organization at Arctic Wolf Networks. This role will lead teams responsible for delivering standardized tooling, services, and development lab infrastructure that enables our core development teams to efficiently develop, test, and ship product releases.

Responsibilities Include:

Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead and mentor multiple agile teams focused on quality tooling frameworks, engineering toolchain integrations, R&D analytics, & engineering lab support
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent through effective coaching and career development planning
  • Facilitate team rituals including sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos to ensure continuous improvement and effective project delivery

Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical oversight for the development and maintenance engineering of engineering shared services and certified developer, quality, infrastructure, and agile tooling
  • Guide teams in implementing and supporting quality engineering frameworks and tools across the organization
  • Guide teams in implementing engineering toolchain workflow integrations and providing engineering R&D analytics & scorecard capabilities
  • Balance innovation with technical debt management to ensure sustainable development practices
  • Oversee the development of standardized tooling and services that enhance developer productivity

Product Ownership & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a Technical Product Owner, translating R&D requirements into technical solutions
  • Partner with stakeholders to clarify requirements, define scope, and establish quarterly commitments for shared services
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog for engineering services initiatives
  • Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and R&D stakeholders

Infrastructure & Service Management

  • Drive the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for consistent environment management
  • Ensure high availability and reliability of shared services and development lab infrastructure
  • Implement monitoring and feedback systems to track service performance and usage

About You

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software development with 3+ years in engineering management
  • Proven experience managing multiple agile teams and implementing agile methodologies
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD tools, practices, and modern DevOps principles
  • Experience with quality engineering tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar testing platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders across different organizational levels

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, or similar)
  • Knowledge of infrastructure automation and cloud technologies
  • Background in platform engineering or developer tooling
  • Experience with implementing and managing enterprise-scale testing frameworks
  • Strong understanding of security best practices in CI/CD pipelines
