Arctic Wolf, with its unicorn valuation, is the leader in security operations in an exciting and fast-growing industry—cybersecurity. We have won countless awards for our excellence in security operations and remain dedicated to providing an industry-leading customer and employee experience.

Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for a Principal Product Manager to join our Data Platform & Infrastructure team to be part of making that happen.

About the Role

If you are creative and highly organized (yes, it is possible, please keep reading), a motivated self–starter, thrive in an energized atmosphere (aka something is always happening, and it’s usually quite loud), like to solve complex and interesting problems, don’t ever want to be bored at work, can speak engineer (and C-suite), and want to learn something new every day, then come join us at Arctic Wolf Networks.

The Principal Product Manager must understand the platform as a system, the functionality of all components and services (along with gaps and overlaps) You’ll be responsible for analyzing consumers’ problems they need to solve (with their corresponding value), and identifying and translating similar problems and patterns into strategy, phasing, and requirements for generic services and components. Principal PMs work across many teams both in platform and other layers (core services and APIs, customer facing products and services, UI layers, etc.), to ensure that consumers’ problems are solved in the most optimized, extensible, scalable, and easily supportable manner, and measured with relevant KPIs through specific product telemetry. This is a high visibility role which helps to define and drive initiatives at all levels across the organization.

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 10+ years’ experience in a technical/product management role with positive outcomes

  • Knowledge and experience in cloud (ideally AWS) tech stacks and software, from ideation to EOL

  • Experience working with Data and Software Architects, tech leads, and agile engineering teams

  • Ability to group and frame requests into generic requirements

  • Must have a BS/BA degree in Engineering, Computer Science/IT, or Science.

  • Desire and willingness to learn (a lot of) new stuff.

  • Excellent communication skills – at all organization levels

  • Knowledge of and experience in Cyber Security space (preferred)

  • Detailed technical understanding of Cloud technologies (preferably AWS), Cloud Platforms, APIs, API Platforms, Access Control, Security Operations and products

  • Must have a keen analytical mind and actual interest in working with large data sets to find patterns, trends, answers, and insights

  • The ability to lead projects and develop resolutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity. Is internally recognized as a specialist on complex technical and business matters

Key Responsibilities

  • Own Platform problem definitions and PRDs for new components and services; work closely with leadership, customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders to gather and analyze business problems, requirements, use cases, and define initiatives and themes aligned to business goals.

  • Contribute to the platform vision and help set the platform strategy to inform project prioritization and capacity planning decisions

  • Develop and maintain a 3–18-month comprehensive roadmap, aligning priorities with product, architecture, engineering (across all layers of platform, services, and features), and other groups (finance, licensing, etc.) to ensure system integrity; Balance value with technical challenges to produce a fast moving, incrementally deliverable, quality product.

  • Create functionality diagrams and logical workflows to explain requirements to engineering groups, marketing, UX, and finance (for buy-in and resource funding)

  • Track implementations (to gain the earliest possible view of completion trajectory) and to course correct or escalate as necessary; track the performance of completed projects to measure KPIs, understand usage, gain insights, and inform the stake holders.
