About the Role:
A Team Lead - R&D will be responsible for leading the team to deliver high value, performant software solutions. The team lead will provide guidance and direction to a team of developers through the design, implementation and automated/integration testing of our software, in accordance with our R&D Department& Team Responsibilities and Foundations of R&D and Development Guidelines. They will also give guidance on best practices for running, monitoring, and maintaining our system with the Lead Developer on the team. The team lead will support developers in their daily work as well as in their long-term career growth.
The team lead will work closely with and support their Project Lead by providing direction, clarity and by removing obstacles.
In this role, you will:
Lead a team that will deliver high quality, innovative software solutions, in collaboration with stakeholders such as architects, developers, product managers, CSEs and prod support people.
Support the team by providing direction, clarity and by removing obstacles.
Supervise daily development tasks in the team ranging from prototyping, design, implementation, automated testing, troubleshooting, and SE Requests.
Provide immediate and continuous job performance feedback to assist your team achieve job requirements, career development goals
Mentor each team member; help them grow their technical and leadership skills. Establish career development plans and achievable goals for your reports and support their ongoing growth.
Support in the administrative and HR-related tasks that align with being a People Leader (i.e. recruitment, performance management, promotions)
Work with team members to deliver the Product Roadmap.
Follow the Development Guidelines when building software for the AWN solution, including secure coding practices.
About You:
You have 2+ years as a Lead or Senior Developer with demonstrated experience with mentorship
You have worked with multiple stakeholders to successfully deliver a variety of projects
You have 5+ years of experience shipping production-quality software
You have deployed services on cloud computing platforms (e.g, AWS, Azure, GCP)
You have experience working on distributed systems and/or microservices architecture
You have designed, implemented, or maintained high performance APIs
You have worked with and deployed containerized services to production
