Think Big

As part of the Architech Academy Team, you will also join the Architech Innovation Labs—a cutting-edge R&D initiative comprised of four areas of expertise. These groups focus on revolutionizing software development and user experiences in the AI Experience group, advancing data engineering and AI innovation in Data Engineering and AI, developing smarter applications through modernization and AI integration in Intelligent Applications, and driving excellence in application security through research and innovation in Application Security. Together, our team is dedicated to pushing technological boundaries and shaping the possibilities of tomorrow.

As a Product Owner (Mentee), you will work closely with our experienced Product Owners, designers, and engineering teams to understand the product lifecycle, from ideation to delivery. You will gain practical experience in managing product backlogs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering value to clients. This is an excellent opportunity to learn, grow, and develop the skills required to excel as a Product Owner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with mentors to understand client business processes and product needs.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining product backlogs, including prioritizing user stories and updating epics.
  • Participate in discovery sessions to learn how to gather and analyze requirements effectively.
  • Support the creation of user stories and acceptance criteria in collaboration with design and engineering teams.
  • Observe and participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to understand agile development processes.
  • Shadow senior Product Owners to understand how to align product features with business objectives.
  • Gain exposure to tools like JIRA, Confluence, or other product management platforms.

Who You Are:

  • Aspiring Product Manager: You’re passionate about technology and product development, with a keen interest in understanding customer needs and translating them into effective solutions.
  • Eager Learner: You are open to learning and seeking opportunities to develop your skills under the guidance of experienced mentors.
  • Strong Communicator: You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and are comfortable collaborating in team settings.
  • Detail-Oriented: You are organized, pay attention to detail, and are motivated to learn how to manage complex projects.

Qualifications:

  • No prior work experience is required, but a background in business, technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, user stories, or product management concepts is a bonus but not mandatory.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
