Reporting to the Implementation Services Manager, the Wastewater Configuration Analyst is responsible for configuring AQI software to meet customers’ operational and business requirements within the wastewater industry. Working closely with a project team, you will implement documented solutions using standard system features and integration points. This role requires strong attention to detail, high-quality delivery, and a deep understanding of wastewater processes.

This role is ideal for professionals with water or wastewater treatment operations experience who are skilled at translating plant processes into system configurations.

📍US - Remote

Note: This position requires a final in person interview onsite. The first 30 days for the successful candidate may require them to be onsite for onboarding.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Collaborate with Implementation Specialists and Project Managers to understand project requirements and Statements of Work.

  • Assist in developing and reviewing solution documentation, ensuring clarity and accurate time estimates.

  • Configure and install operational data management systems, including process variables, calculations, reports, and data entry forms

  • Validate software functionality to ensure deliverables meet customer expectations and project specifications

  • Document all project activities and deliverables in the project management tracking system

  • ✈️ Travel up to 10% nationally or internationally for training, customer meetings, and industry events


The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science

  • 💧Strong understanding of Wastewater Processes:

    • Process Units (aeration tanks, clarifiers, etc.)

    • Wastewater Parameters (NH4, NO3, etc.)

    • Activated Sludge Processes (Nitrification, Denitrification, etc.)

    • SCADA, IoT in a wastewater environment

  • 3+ years of experience in data management, system configuration, or equivalent technical role within the water or wastewater industry.

  • Experience working in or with wastewater treatment plants, utilities, system integrators, or water technology providers.

  • Proficiency in Windows and MS Office (Excel, Word)

  • Demonstrated ability to configure operational systems including variables, calculations, reports, and data entry forms

  • Valid passport

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 USD per year.
