Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager, the Cloud Developer (C#, Azure) is responsible for delivering quality and features at speed! You will have the opportunity to work as a member of a SAFe software development team, providing end to end development and testing of cloud applications. You will primarily focus on microservice applications utilizing C#, .NET, and Microsoft Azure PaaS offerings including Service Fabric. You will work on mission critical software that is leveraged by water facilities to ensure water quality around the world!
This position is part of the Digital Product Development team located in the US and will be remote. Note: final interviews are held in person, at our site.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
Developing end-to-end cloud microservice applications with restful APIs
Consistently delivering committed work and tracking progress using standard agile practices, as well as Tempo time tracking
Collaborating with fellow developers, architects, designers, product owners, and team leaders to solve problems
Understanding problems and transcribing solutions based on existing/planned architecture and acceptance criteria.
Ensuring the quality of all their work by performing testing, including: manual, automated API tests, unit testing
Contributing towards solution-level architecture via defining and updating various architecture artifacts
Performing code reviews for self and peers
Following our standard development processes and ensuring work is in line with the aligned architecture
Occasionally contributing toward desktop & legacy desktop applications
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or similar experience
5+ years in professional software development industry (C# using .Net).
2+ years developing microservice applications with cloud providers such as Azure
Restful APIs
Proficient with enterprise data store including SQL & Data Lakes
