Water Quality (‘WQ”) Platform is part of the Environmental & Applied Solutions reporting segment and is a global leader in water quality analysis and treatment, providing instrumentation and disinfection systems to help analyze and manage the quality of ultra-pure water, portable water, wastewater, groundwater, and ocean water in residential, commercial, industrial, and natural resource applications. Our water quality business provides products under a variety of brands, including Hach, Trojan Technologies, McCrometer and ChemTreat. WQ Asia has sales offices in India, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
Hach-TH Water Quality Platform, a part of the Hach Company, is a leader in manufacturing and distributing analytical instruments and reagents used to test water quality and other liquid solutions. In response to the rapidly expanding reagent in water test business in Thailand, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Water Quality Thailand Group as an Aftermarket Sales Specialist.
About Role
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Make a difference - join us to ensure water quality for people around the world. In the role of Procurement Specialist, you will partner with the Supply Chain Director for the Asia Distribution Center (ADC) in Rayong, Thailand and provide expertise for the Procurement Function in the following areas; budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis, data modelling and analytics to drive sustained profitable business goals. You will also be responsible for driving the continuous improvement of our processes and systems in support of strategic and tactical policy deployment objectives. The specialist is also responsible for production capacity planning, capital project justification, risk analysis
What You'll Be Doing (Job Responsibilities) :
Preparing and maintaining different merchandising and financial reports and records.
Executing on regional sourcing and procurement: obtaining the best deal possible for HACH by purchasing the highest quality equipment, raw materials and products at the lowest possible cost while taking into consideration the quality, price, reliability, technical support and availability when choosing suppliers and merchandisers.
Overseeing the activities and working with colleagues to manage work orders, schedules, inventory.
Assists with planning and directing an efficient layout of equipment and flow of materials in the facility.
Responsible for managing daily issues in materials and procurement areas.
Drive process improvements to achieve Policy Development goals for safety, quality, delivery and cost.
Provide input and recommendations for the identification and selection of improvement projects.
Create and lead PD at Gemba visual management process to support objectives.
Support Kanban Implementation at Gemba and execution
Planning and scheduling tasks over both short- and long-term periods.
Inventory planning
What We Are Looking For (Skills & Qualifications)
The ideal candidate is a talented professional who can develop talent, foster innovation and deliver results. Must be
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or another related field required.
Minimum 5 or more years’ experience working in global materials management and procurement.
Experience working in a global matrix organization supporting cross-functional, cross-cultural business teams highly preferred.
