This position is part of the Finance & Accounting team located at Veralto’s corporate headquarters in Waltham, MA with a flexible work environment. Travel to OpCos may be required and estimated between 10%-15% annually.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Director of Internal Controls, this position will support the overall internal controls function for Veralto, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance. As part of our team, you’ll contribute to the overall design and operational effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting, including annual planning and scoping, effective communication with the OpCos and functional leaders, issues resolution, training of the organization’s control owners, and coordination/communication with internal and external auditors. You’ll drive alignment within our decentralized model and lead several finance transformation initiatives for the controllership function. You’ll also support potential transformation initiatives across the broader finance organization. This position offers high visibility to senior leadership throughout Veralto, providing you with the opportunity to make a significant impact!

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Key contributor to Veralto's global and corporate internal controls function, responsible for supporting the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) program. This role involves collaborating with various functions and operating companies (OpCos) and co-leading the SOX governance program (Steering Committee) alongside Internal Audit.
  • Build strong relationships with the OpCos, key business/functional stakeholders to identify areas of risk and provide hands on assistance on issues and questions raised.
  • Develop and provide training (formal and informal) to control owners and key stakeholders to communicate the requirements and expectations of the SOX program
  • Provide leadership and guidance in the preparation of the annual internal controls scoping assessment, which is inclusive of key financial applications.
  • Continually provide strategic assessment of the SOX program to continuously streamline and improve processes and control design effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain a collaborative relationship with Internal and External Auditors to ensure that SOX program design, testing and audit procedures are executed in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Be a key player in onboarding newly acquired businesses in our internal controls environment.
  • Partner with the Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting teams to provide oversight and support on continuous improvement projects and the standardization of finance processes. Create strategies and use cases that use advanced technologies and automation to improve operations and refine core processes.
  • Support and lead finance related projects, as applicable.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other relevant certification preferred
  • 8+ years public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and/or industry experience (e.g., internal audit, SOX management, etc.)
  • Significant experience with SOX at multination publicly traded companies
  • Minimum of 4 years of oversight experience
  • Substantial U.S. GAAP experience

A highly qualified candidate may also have some of the below experiences:

  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • Oracle (ERP), Alteryx, and OneStream tools experience

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $136,000 - $185,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Incentive Pay.
