Position Purpose:

We are currently seeking a “Manager Consumable Sales and Service” to join our team in Bangalore.

Drive the Consumable sales and service for the region. Manage the team of service engineers to ensure high levels of service efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Forecast and achieve revenue of consumable sales & Service business.

  • Leading a team of Service Engineers for Quality service delivery (PM, FTFR, GWE, ART)

  • Implement IB Sales and Service Excellence Strategy to drive sustainable growth in the region.

  • Forecasting Supplies, Parts, Service revenues & bookings, mentoring and controlling DSO, PSP and action plan implementation.

  • Responsible for Supplies Annual Contracts (ARCs) and continuously increase ARC coverage. This activity involves new ARCs and renewal.

  • Sales of Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) and continuously increase of service contract coverage. This activity involves renewal, warranty conversion, upgrading and sales of contracts.

  • Analyse the hits and misses to work on action plans and countermeasures.

  • Execution of P.O. from customer and related follow up – internal & external

  • Co-ordinate with customer in case of issues related to order execution and payment. Meet & keep in touch with customers to understand current satisfaction level and any new business opportunities. Ensure maximum retention of customers.

  • Focus towards regaining lost customers by promoting win - win solution.

  • Motivating and leading the team members to achieve KPI; undertake their performance appraisal; monitor & coach them.

  • Work with team on potential mapping and accordingly chart out action plans for their career development. Mentoring and grooming the team for future growth

  • Drive optimal utilization of service team to strike best in class service to customers while driving work life balance for the team.

  • Productivity improvement – the ability to organize work and operational efficiency

  • Planning and forecasting- To be organized and be methodical in handling responsibilities and to ensure that accurate and immediate follow-up is done, to respond quickly to needs of the market, and be alert to situations that may be problem-causing.

  • Leadership skills - the ability to persuade front line team to achieve the targets set for them. Field visits along with S.E.’s, driving team for Service Quality & Service Contracts, Service leads & escalation.

  • Organization Development – the ability to organize work with clear accountabilities and operational efficiency. Lead by example - Has to be a team leader, highly efficient, and motivating, and able to develop successive leaders from the team.

  • Having technical acumen to understand the service need of the customers and do effective communication with the technical team for arranging desired support.

Knowledge, Skills:

  • Education – Engineering degree, MBA

  • Work experience - Minimum of 7 years of experience in an Indian or a multi-national company with experience in sales or service.

  • Must have good communication (verbal and written) skills & proficiency in English.

  • Ability to work independently to achieve targets.
