Your Contribution to Our Growth

We are seeking a Product Owner, Treasury & Account Services with deep expertise in accounting principles, treasury workflows, and financial systems. In this critical role, you will lead the delivery of financial infrastructure that powers ledger operations, transaction orchestration, and automated treasury processes. Partnering closely with engineering and business stakeholders, you will translate complex financial requirements into actionable product roadmaps and technical specifications. Your work will directly shape scalable systems that support global transactions, strengthen financial controls, and drive efficiency across our platform.

This is a high-impact position where you will own product strategy and execution for treasury and account management services, guide the design of ledger and transaction management systems, and enable automation and efficiency in treasury operations. You will also ensure compliance with financial standards while supporting innovation in the digital asset ecosystem.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of accounting principles, treasury operations, and financial systems, combined with strong product ownership capabilities. A deep understanding of ledgers, reconciliation, financial accounts, and transaction flows is essential.

This is a Full-Time, Permanent position working Hybrid out of our Downtown Toronto or Vancouver office.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the definition and design of core financial system functions including ledger management, transaction processing, reconciliation, and financial reporting grounded in recognized accounting principles (e.g., GAAP, IFRS)
• Translate complex accounting and treasury requirements into clear, actionable product features that support regulatory compliance and financial governance
• Collaborate closely with engineering, finance, compliance, and audit teams to embed strong accounting controls and processes within software solutions
• Own and manage the product backlog for treasury and account management services, prioritizing features that ensure integrity, auditability, and transparency of all financial transactions and balances
• Drive the development of automated workflows for cash movements, payment settlements, liquidity monitoring, and treasury management while ensuring appropriate accounting treatment
• Validate product designs to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory frameworks, supporting accurate financial reporting
• Act as a subject matter expert for accounting and financial systems throughout the product development lifecycle, providing guidance to technical and business stakeholders
• Monitor product performance and regulatory changes, and incorporate necessary updates to maintain system compliance and operational excellence

We’d Love to See

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; professional designations such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are highly desirable
• Extensive and proven experience in product ownership, financial systems design, or software delivery, with a strong emphasis on accounting and treasury functions in fintech, digital assets, or financial services
• Deep practical knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS) and demonstrated ability to apply these principles in the design of ledgers, transaction orchestration, reconciliation, and financial reporting systems
• Proven track record of translating financial and accounting requirements into scalable, user-friendly software features
• Strong understanding of treasury management processes, including cash handling, liquidity forecasting, payments, and settlements, with an emphasis on accurate accounting treatment
• Experience working collaboratively with technical, finance, compliance, and audit teams in an Agile development environment
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, capable of bridging financial domain knowledge and technical implementation
• Passion for advancing fintech innovation by integrating accounting rigor and financial discipline into digital asset and treasury management solutions
