Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and talented Product Development Technician to play a pivotal role in the early stages of our product development cycle. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the creation, testing, and refinement of products tailored for industrial IoT and harsh environment applications. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with our design and production teams to build and test prototypes that align with our vision of innovative, reliable, and easy-to-manufacture products.
  • Develop comprehensive assembly guides for Production Teams, enabling smooth and accurate product assembly.
  • Lead efforts in prototyping, validation, and continuous design improvement, ensuring top-quality products.
  • Serve as a bridge between the engineering and production teams, providing assistance on builds, design enhancements, and testing procedures.
  • Maintain and organize the engineering prototype area, ensuring a clean and efficient workspace.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of prototype parts and tools to meet project timelines.
  • Contribute to the finalization of prototypes, including identification and resolution of specialized tooling requirements.
  • Report and address any challenges encountered during prototype finishing.
  • Operate and interpret test fixtures to identify potential issues and optimize product performance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a related field, demonstrating hands-on skills and technical expertise.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey instructions effectively.
  • Proficiency in using electrical and pneumatic hand tools, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, bandsaws, etc.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation to guide prototype assembly and testing processes.
  • Familiarity with prototyping tools such as 3D printers and CNC machines
  • Experience in product building and prototyping.
  • Exposure to industrial IoT or harsh environment applications
