SUMMARY
The DevOps Engineer supports the development of software products, processes, and supporting systems. In this role you will collaborate with a team of expert professionals to accomplish development objectives and oversee software releases.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performs basic DevOps activities, including the maintenance, monitoring, and testing of product builds and packaging to provide quality production builds
• Prepares, configures, deploys and maintains build agents
• Conducts systems tests for security, performance and reliability of build systems
• Works with developers for identifying code and testing issues using tools such as totalview and report the findings promptly
• Works with IT to maintain DevOps infrastructure and needed packages for compiling, linking and testing software
• Works closely with development to adjust builds and packaging to changing requirements
• Attend various ADO DevOps Trainings
• Works under direct supervision with work subject to frequent review by more experiences staff or DevOps manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic understanding of build management and continuous integration software
• Experience with source code versioning tools (Git)
• Knowledge in automation scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python and Perl
• Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio, CMake, Azure DevOps and programming languages such as C/C++ and C#
• Working knowledge of or willing to learn about compilers to support the extension of our software to modern (HPC) chipsets
• An interest into the engineering side of our simulation software is not required, but will be beneficial, specifically considering large model simulation on large clusters
• Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team
