Summary/ Role purpose

The DevOps Engineer supports the development of software products, processes, and supporting systems. In this role, the DevOps Engineer will collaborate with a team of expert professionals to accomplish development objectives and oversee software releases.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs basic DevOps activities, including the implementation, maintenance, monitoring, documenting, and testing of product builds and packaging to provide quality production builds
  • Implement new product builds
  • Prepares, configures, deploys, and maintains build agents
  • Collaborates with IT to maintain DevOps infrastructure
  • Works closely with development teams to adjust builds and packaging to changing requirements
  • Works closely with testing team to extend the integration and regression testing infrastructure
  • Participates in the evaluation and implementation of new solutions
  • Operates under direct supervision, with work subject to frequent review by the DevOps and Release Manager

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • An Associate's degree with 2 years of relevant DevOps experience, a Bachelor’s degree, or a Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of build management and continuous integration software

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience with:
    • Configuring and monitoring continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc
    • Source code version control software: Git
    • Artifactory artifacts manager or any equivalent
    • Script development and maintenance (Windows batch/PowerShell, Linux bash, Python, PHP, C# etc)
    • Configuration management tools such as Ansible
    • Containerization/Orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of Windows and/or of Linux operating systems
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Proficient in written and verbal English communication
  • Strong interpersonal abilities
  • Quick learner with a collaborative mindset, especially within geographically distributed teams
