As the Energy Sector Lead, you will oversee and drive our business initiatives within the energy sector, leveraging your extensive knowledge and expertise to advance our organization’s mission in this critical industry. You will serve as a senior leader, combining expertise in business development, sales, and delivery to expand our impact and presence within energy markets.
This role requires a leader who can credibly represent our organization at the most senior levels within energy companies and institutions, establish and nurture relationships to generate new business, and apply their energy industry insights to shape innovative solutions addressing unique challenges and opportunities in this field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Lead the strategic direction for the energy sector, aligning business development and delivery efforts to achieve organizational goals and foster market growth.
- Business Development: Generate new business by positioning our organization as a trusted partner within energy sector markets and supporting the growth of targeted accounts.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in energy companies and related institutions, fostering trust and long-term partnerships.
- Delivery Oversight: Ensure we are delighting our clients in the delivery of our solutions and acting in an executive sponsor role for the most important client deliveries in the portfolio, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and project success.
- Industry Representation: Are a credible, authoritative voice for energy initiatives, representing our organization at industry conferences, events, and forums to enhance our industry presence.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with sales, marketing, delivery, and product teams to design and implement solutions that meet industry sector requirements, promoting a cohesive approach to growth and service delivery.
- Thought Leadership & Advocacy: Contribute thought leadership on energy industry trends, challenges, and opportunities, advocating for innovative practices that position our organization as a leader in this space.
What You Bring:
- Proven Energy Industry Expertise: 10+ years of experience in leadership roles within the energy sector, demonstrating a strong understanding of energy operations, regulations, and market dynamics.
- Leadership in Industry: Recognized as a thought leader in the energy industry, with a proven track record of driving results and establishing influential partnerships.
- Business Development Expertise: Demonstrated success in generating leads, securing new business, and growing revenue within an energy sector context.
- Delivery Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience overseeing large energy portfolios to ensure successful outcomes and high levels of client satisfaction.
- Strategic Vision: Proven experience in setting clear strategic direction aligned to organizational objectives, and inspiring teams to align and execute to deliver on strategy.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Superior executive communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas and strategies to diverse stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate across functions, working with teams to deliver solutions that align with energy sector team strategy goals and constraints.
- Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Agile in addressing shifting priorities, able to identify challenges, and resolve conflicts within complex public sector environments.
Responsible AI (RAI)
