As the Vice President of Product, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of Brilliant Harvest. As part of the senior leadership team you will be responsible for leading our product strategy, developing customer partnerships, and expanding our market reach. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of product development and the ability to combine that with business development to forge strong partnerships with key equipment dealers.

Product Development:

  • Lead the development and execution of the company's product roadmap, ensuring alignment with customer and market needs, and company goals.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with the VP, Operations and Customer Success to ensure operational readiness for new product launches.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, product management and marketing to prioritize features and enhancements.

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue strategic partnerships, and collaborations with equipment dealers to accelerate growth and market penetration.
  • Represent the company at industry events and forums, cultivating relationships with potential customers.
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders that lead to dealer partnerships including dealer peer groups, industry associations, and government agencies.
  • Support the VP, Operations & Customer Success to build and nurture dealer OEM and supplier relationships.

Market Research

  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory developments to anticipate market shifts and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Ensure consistent communication and feedback loops with the VP, Operations and Customer success around customer insights, product performance, and market trends.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Provide leadership by working closely and mentoring the product team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Set clear objectives and performance metrics, and regularly evaluate progress against goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Agriculture, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven track record of success in product management, business development, or related roles within the agri-tech industry.
  • Strong understanding of agricultural technologies, market dynamics, equipment manufacturers and customer needs.
  • Strong relationships within agricultural equipment dealersExceptional strategic thinking, analytical skills, and business acumen.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards common goals.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for driving innovation and creating positiveBe able to travel as needed to meet with customers and the team.
  • If working remotely, travel to Calgary at least every 2 months to meet with the product and software engineering team.
