Your opportunity to make an impact:

The Software Engineering Manager is responsible for understanding customer requirements, as well as planning and coordinating a team in delivering solutions for our next-generation SaaS marketing performance management technology. The role will require strong communication, collaboration, organization, and strategic thinking in addition to software development experience. The right candidate will be excited to build and motivate a team to solve challenging technical problems.

This is a remote opportunity and will involve collaboration across North American and European time zones, which will at times require flexibility in work schedules.

Our ideal candidate will be located in Canada.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate with Product Management, User Experience, and Development teams to define solutions and implement them in our product.

• Responsible for the delivery of software to drive business outcomes

• Manage 1-2 teams of developers, including regular 1:1 sessions, mentoring, and evaluating performance.

• Coordinate the team through agile practices such as scrum, planning, and retrospectives.

• Conduct capacity planning and balance tech debt and engineering initiatives against our product roadmap

• Support and improve the development process within the team.

• Provide career development and support for your team members to ensure continuous growth as a team and individually.

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of experience in Software Development

• 2+ years of leadership experience within a software development team

• Experience with Agile software development practices

• Ability to manage competing priorities and operate in a fast-paced environment

• Strong problem-solving skills and facilitation skills

• Clear organization skills and demonstrated habit of follow-through

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to create a culture of inclusion, collaboration, safety, and results

• A collaborative, curious, and problem-solving approach — you enjoy working closely with others to unlock better outcomes

• Bonus if you have experience working in the Marketing industry

Ultimately, success is measured by the seamless development and deployment of high-quality features, improvements, and the ongoing optimization of our Engineering processes to support the company’s growth and strategic goals.

What You Can Expect from our Interview Process:

1. You will start with an introductory screening interview conducted by one of our team members. Here we are looking to make sure you meet the requirements for the role and will align well with our team’s principles and values.

2. You will meet with a member of our engineering leadership team for a Technical panel to assess your skills and determine what level you align with in our career path.

3. Last, you will meet with a panel of technical team members and/or leaders within the Product Engineering Team. We will assess your problem-solving, collaboration, and leadership knowledge here.
