Meet The Team:

The FP&A team partners with Business Units in the execution of strategy and deliverables by driving financial decisions and performance. Challenge and support Business Partners by leading the financial planning process and analyzing and reporting results while identifying risks and countermeasures.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive financial decisions and performance:
    • Challenge and support Business Partners in the research, analysis, and recommendation of alternatives and solutions; support preparation and communication of presentations to Torc management.
    • Collaborate with Business Partners to develop scorecards, identify metrics, and use of tools to track, document, analyze, and report operational and financial performance.
    • Train and educate Business Partners on overall financial management acumen, knowledge, and discipline.
    • Assist and support Business Partners in the development, implementation, documentation, and compliance of company policies, processes, systems, and controls (for example headcount and purchase requests).
    • Ensure changes in organizational structures and business practices are accurate and consistent.
    • Support Business Partners to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security as well as identify ways to improve processes and reduce costs.
  • Lead the financial planning process:
    • Develop annual plans and periodic forecast of headcount plans, compensation levels, cash flow, expenses, revenue, and capital expenditures.
    • Coordinate with Business Partners to provide inputs, deliverables, and supporting documentation within timelines.
    • Identify and size financial risks and opportunities of plans.
  • Analyze and report results:
    • Prepare timely, accurate and transparent monthly financial analysis and reports.
    • Analyze results compared to plans and trends, review with Business Partners, identify emerging issues, and support Business Partners in offering recommendations and identifying and implementing countermeasures.
    • Support Accounting’s month-end close process and approve entries as necessary (for example accruals) to ensure timely and accurate information.
    • Develop tools to efficiently collect and report results, improve processes and controls, and maintain data integrity of reporting systems.
  • Prepare adhoc analysis as required:
    • Analyze business transactions, projects, and opportunities.
    • Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives, such as Biz Case.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related field of study. MBA preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in financial analysis, financial planning, accounting, and/or controlling.
  • Curious and passionate to make a difference for their Business Leaders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and to be understand the purpose and deliverables of their Business Leaders.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional discussions and adapt to a rapidly changing business needs in a fast-changing environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office products as well as computer skills to effectively use software to analyze financial information.
  • Experience with ERP Accounting software, preferably Workday.
  • Experience working in a team environment and collaborates well with others.
  • Travel required into Torc office location in Blacksburg, VA.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with Adaptive Planning in Workday.
  • Experience in the software industry.

US Pay Range
$117,600$141,100 USD
