Summary:

Responsible for overseeing and managing the reliability of Fleet Operations systems, products, or processes. Ensuring that systems and products operate efficiently and effectively over their intended lifespan, minimizing downtime, failures, and disruptions. Has knowledge of reliability principles, statistical analysis, and relevant industry standards. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills are essential for effectively identifying and addressing reliability issues within an organization.

What You'll Do:

  • People Management: Manages employees by ensuring compliance to federal, state, and company policies, procedures, guidelines, and management principles
  • Data Analysis: Collecting and analyzing data related to system performance, failures, and maintenance activities. Identifying trends, root causes of failures, and areas for improvement

  • Continuous Improvement: Driving continuous improvement initiatives in areas such as route optimization, carrier selection, backhauls, crew staffing, fleet/equipment utilization, maintenance availability and fuel efficiency
  • Collaboration: Collaboration: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, program management, and strategy, to ensure reliability considerations are integrated throughout the product lifecycle. This includes participating in design reviews, conducting failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and providing input on product specifications
  • Maintenance Optimization: Implementing techniques such as reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), condition-based maintenance (CBM), or predictive maintenance. This involves determining the most effective maintenance tasks and intervals to maximize system reliability while minimizing costs
  • Operations Testing: Planning and executing tests to validate product performance and identify potential weaknesses. This includes developing test plans, defining test criteria, and analyzing test results.

What You Need To Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field of study required
  • Knowledge of autonomous vehicle operations

Experience, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the commercial freight industry’s legal obligations, regulations, and guidelines.

Bonus Points

  • Knowledge of autonomous vehicle operations.
  • Knowledge of the commercial freight industry’s legal obligations, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of class 8 vehicle freight hub operations (e.g. scaling operations, drop and hook of customer trailers, vehicle inspection, etc.)
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt or higher)

US Pay Range
$123,500$148,200 USD
