About the Role:
As a Legal Product Specialist at Alexi, you’ll join the Product team responsible for the development and execution of Alexi’s AI-powered legal workflows. As a subject matter expert in transactional practice areas, you’ll help create scalable, reliable, and accurate workflows that will help transform the practice of law at enterprise law firms. This is a hybrid role at the intersection of legal reasoning, content design, and product development. This role requires close collaboration with engineers, AI researchers, and sales to ensure outputs meet legal accuracy and usability standards.
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product engineering, sales, and AI) to design and improve legal workflows and document generation tasks.
- Draft, refine, and maintain legal prompts that generate structured outputs, such as contract review, due diligence reports, and client correspondence.
- Review AI-generated outputs to ensure legal accuracy, structural fidelity, clarity, and client-readiness.
- Translate legal concepts into repeatable logic steps and structured data models.
- Curate legal knowledge frameworks including clause libraries, legal issue maps, and jurisdiction-specific requirements.
- Contribute to user testing, template iteration, and internal documentation of product features and workflows.
- Provide feedback on model behavior, tooling enhancements, and legal logic failures to improve accuracy and reliability.
- Respond to workflow-related support requests from internal teams or end users, helping to diagnose issues, identify bugs or gaps, and recommend updates to improve performance or accuracy.
- Assist sales and marketing teams by providing legal insight and product expertise to support client demos, content creation, and positioning of legal workflows.
- Stay current with trends in legal practice, AI tools, and user needs to proactively suggest new workflows and enhancements.
- Take on additional tasks in response to evolving product and team priorities.
Requirements:
- JD or equivalent law degree
- Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 2+ years of experience in legal practice, legal research, or legal technology.
- Demonstrated ability to abstract legal reasoning into logical and structured steps.
- Strong legal research, analysis, and writing skills.
- Clear and effective communicator, capable of collaborating with legal and technical stakeholders
- Technologically curious with an aptitude for learning new tools, workflows, and systems.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and accountable in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
- Resourceful and adaptable in the face of ambiguity or evolving product requirements.
- Collaborative team player who contributes to a high-trust, high-performance product team.
