Full-Time Account Manager - Provider Success & Growth Manager, British Columbia
Sales & Business Development
Help Transform Healthcare in British Columbia
At Alethea, we are on a mission to make specialist advice accessible when patients need it, not months later.
Alethea is Alberta's leading eConsult platform, connecting family physicians, nurse practitioners, and specialists through secure digital consultations that improve access to care and reduce unnecessary wait times. Today, our platform supports more than 50 medical specialties and over 150 specialist consultants across Alberta and British Columbia, helping thousands of healthcare providers collaborate more efficiently.
When a primary care provider needs specialist advice, they can submit an eConsult through Alethea and receive expert recommendations within 24 - 48 hours, allowing patients to receive treatment sooner and avoid unnecessary referrals whenever possible.
We are now entering an exciting stage of growth in British Columbia, and are looking for someone who wants to help build something meaningful.
This is an opportunity to join a small, passionate team where your work will have a direct impact on healthcare delivery across the province.
About the Role
We are looking for an energetic, relationship-driven Account Manager based in British Columbia to help expand Alethea throughout the province.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their career who is excited about healthcare innovation, enjoys meeting new people, and wants to develop a career in business development, partnerships, and health technology.
You will spend your time building relationships with family physicians, nurse practitioners, specialists, clinic managers, and healthcare organizations while helping them discover how Alethea can improve patient care.
British Columbia is an exciting, but challenging market. As we continue expanding, we are working closely with healthcare leaders, government relations partners, and physician organizations to improve specialist compensation models and grow the adoption of eConsult across the province.
If you are someone who enjoys solving problems, isn't discouraged by challenges, and loves building relationships, you will thrive here.
What You'll Do
Working closely with the VP of Sales & Marketing and the rest of our Business Development team, you will:
- Grow adoption of Alethea among family physicians, nurse practitioners, specialists, and healthcare organizations throughout British Columbia.
- Build lasting relationships with clinics and physician champions.
- Conduct in-person clinic visits, product demonstrations, lunch-and-learns, webinars, and educational sessions.
- Guide new providers through onboarding and ensure they have an exceptional experience using the platform.
- Develop creative outreach campaigns to increase awareness and engagement.
- Work within our CRM to manage opportunities and track relationships.
- Collaborate with Product and Customer Success teams to share customer feedback and help shape future platform improvements.
- Support physician billing questions and onboarding where required.
- Represent Alethea at conferences, trade shows, and healthcare events throughout British Columbia.
- Help create marketing content, success stories, and educational materials that support our growth.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role is not measured only by new users.
You will be successful if you’re helping healthcare providers adopt a tool that genuinely improves patient care.
Key measures of success include:
- Growth in active healthcare providers
- Increased physician engagement and platform usage
- Outstanding customer satisfaction
- Strong pipeline development
- Successful onboarding of new clinics and specialists
- Positive relationships throughout the healthcare community
- Contributions to our collaborative team culture
Who You Are
We are much more interested in who you are than exactly where you have worked.
You might be a recent graduate with customer-facing experience, someone working in healthcare looking for a new challenge, or an early-career professional with experience in sales, account management, marketing, or customer success.
You are someone who:
- Loves meeting people and building genuine relationships.
- Is naturally curious and asks thoughtful questions.
- Learns quickly and enjoys solving problems.
- Is highly organized and follows through on commitments.
- Is confident speaking with physicians and healthcare professionals.
- Is resilient; you understand that meaningful change takes persistence.
- Works well independently while also enjoying being part of a collaborative team.
- Takes initiative rather than waiting to be told what to do.
- Wants to make a meaningful impact through your work.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Health Sciences, Communications, or a related field
- Experience in customer service, sales, account management, marketing, or business development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Comfortable presenting to groups and leading meetings
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout British Columbia
- Experience working in healthcare or health technology is an asset but not required
Location
This is a remote position based in British Columbia.
The role involves regular travel throughout the province to visit clinics, physicians, and healthcare partners.
We maintain a 40-hour work week with flexible scheduling. While occasional evening events or travel may be required, we offer flex time to support work-life balance
