What we're looking for:
We are seeking a motivated and versatile individual to join our IT team as a Tier 1 & 2 IT Support / Junior Developer. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about technology, enjoys problem-solving, and is eager to grow their skills in both IT support and software development. The successful candidate will provide technical support to our employees, assist with IT projects, and contribute to software development tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve OS, hardware, software, mobile, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals.
- Manage and maintain MS Intune Admin Centre, MS Entra Admin Centre, and Dell Command (Intune Endpoint).
- Document and track support requests using a help desk ticketing system.
- Own the deployment and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud services.
- Conduct regular system checks and preventive maintenance. Ensure optimal performance of SharePoint & Office 365 services.
- Lead project management efforts with suppliers for IT projects, including migrations and new services.
- Participate in the development of best practices for IT Infrastructure and security Setup.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of internal software applications and scripts.
- Write, test, and debug code in various programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, etc.).
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of coding standards and practices.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for software applications and IT processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in IT support or a related role.
- Basic programming experience and a desire to grow as a developer.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office suite, bonus if Microsoft 365 certified.
- Familiarity with Intune, Entra, Microsoft Admin, Office 365, and other Microsoft technologies.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Experience with help desk ticketing systems.
- Basic programming skills in languages such as JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Knowledge of IT security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have:
- CompTIA A+: A foundational certification covering essential IT skills.
- Project Management Professional (PMP): Demonstrates project management skills for successful IT initiatives.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
Please note this role may require occasional after-hours work for system maintenance or issue resolution. The ability to lift and move computer equipment as needed.
This role is predominantly in-office with flexibility as needed.
