About the role:

This role is responsible for overseeing the procurement process to ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services required for our operations. Play a pivotal role in negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing procurement strategies to support our business objectives.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures to streamline the purchasing process.
  • Effectively lead RFP process.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and delivery performance.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing for goods and services.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and priorities.
  • Monitor and analyze procurement metrics to identify areas for cost savings, consolidation opportunities, and process improvements.
  • Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams on procurement-related matters.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and vendor performance metrics.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including renewals of the contracts and agreements.

What you bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 4+ years of proven experience as a Procurement Manager or similar role, preferably in the technology industry or SaaS sector.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successfully securing favorable terms and pricing from suppliers.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.

Location and travel requirements:

AlayaCare supports a flexible hybrid working model, expecting that our employees have a regular in-office presence at their closest office location while offering flexibility for some remote work. Our team encourages in-person collaboration and with this, the preferred candidate location for this position would be within the Greater Toronto Area.
