About the role:

Reporting to the Director, Events, the Corporate Events Manager, is responsible for planning and executing a range of virtual and in-person large-scale events which will improve awareness of the AlayaCare brand, generate new business, and enable thought leadership and education opportunities for our audiences. You will own all aspects of the event process including budgeting, vendor relations, experience planning, event execution, post-event assessment report and improvement notes, after-action assessments, process improvement, and reporting. The overall goal of the Corporate Events Manager is to approach events with a revenue-focused lens and view events as part of a larger strategic goal. To execute this goal, you will collaborate closely with other members of the Revenue team and leverage internal and external resources.

This is a Toronto-based hybrid (2 day per week minimum in office) position. Based on the nature of the role, travel up to 25% of the time is expected within North America.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Oversee execution of corporate events (virtual and eventually in-person) to amplify our brand story and image at national and international trade shows, internal events, user conferences, customer advisory board meetings and other large-scale events.
  • Speaker management and session production for internal and external AlayaCare speakers. This includes management of agenda-building sessions, coordinating speaker communications, and establishing work-back and event-day run of show schedules.
  • Proactively manage and strategize all event needs. End-to-end event management, from lead-handling and content creation to venue selection and event execution.
  • Establish event goals and budget: gather and track ROI, engagement analytics, and feedback to consistently assess and implement opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop pre-event, at-event, and post-event marketing plans in conjunction with product marketing, content, partner, and demand generation teams.
  • Advance, maintain, and manage external partners and vendors for multiple events and swag, including negotiating optimal terms.
  • Partner with internal cross-functional teams to create event agendas, campaigns, and content that meet engagement targets.
  • Oversee creation of event communications and promotion for event programs, in partnership with demand generation and sales development teams, to drive attendance.
  • Develop and deliver event enablement to include pre-event briefings, at-event briefings, and drive post-event follow-up briefings and event retrospectives.
  • Solicit speaking sessions for all relevant corporate conferences and national industry trade shows.
  • Stay abreast of changes and trends within the post-acute healthcare and b2b SaaS industries by leveraging connections with internal and external resources.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to events, permits, and safety guidelines to ensure compliance.

What you bring to the team:

  • Completion of post secondary education in a relevant field (Bachelor’s or College Level), or completion of post-secondary education in an unrelated field coupled with relevant industry experience in corporate events management as detailed below
  • 3+ years of experience in corporate marketing events planning and management
  • 1+ years of experience in the B2B tech industry
  • Direct experience with revenue-focused events targeted towards prospects and customers
  • Experience planning, promoting and executing virtual events
  • Proven ability to be agile, creative, organized, partner effectively with sales
  • Self-sufficient worker capable of managing multiple deadlines with little supervision
  • Ability to work smart under pressure and efficiently on multiple project requests simultaneously, and to deal with potential for tight deadlines and unexpected complexities
  • Proven ability to own and project manage event agendas and content production
  • Comfortability in interacting with various audiences and presenting to groups including executives and senior leadership
  • Exemplary project management and decision-making skills with direct experience leveraging project management tools (Asana experience is a definite asset)
  • Technical acumen with experience leveraging mar-tech and adopting new tools quickly (experience with HubSpot, Zoom, and Slack would be an asset)
  • Bilingualism in French is an asset, though not a requirement
  • Willingness to travel within North America (up to 25%) is required; flexible hours can be required due to the nature of the position including some early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
