About the role:

The Professional Services Consultant (PSC) plays a crucial role within the organization, reporting directly to the Senior Professional Services Consultant. This role involves both customer-facing and internal responsibilities aimed at enhancing the growth and reputation of the professional services division. Here's a breakdown of the key aspects of this role:

  • Customer-Facing Responsibilities: The PSC is the main point of contact for customers and is responsible for ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This involves understanding the customer's needs and challenges and aligning professional services to address them effectively.

  • Project Delivery and Execution: This role involves leading and overseeing the successful execution of professional services-led implementations and projects. The PSC is responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the specified objectives.

  • Subject Matter Expertise: The PSC is expected to have specialized knowledge in specific functional areas, such as the AlayaCare platform and the home healthcare industry. This expertise is leveraged to add value to project deliverables and provide insights and solutions that align with the industry and platform specifics.

  • Stakeholder Management: The role includes managing relationships and expectations with both customers and internal stakeholders. Clear communication and collaboration are essential for project success.

  • Complex Component Management: In many cases, projects may involve complex components or aspects that require in-depth expertise and attention. The consultant is responsible for managing these intricacies effectively.

  • Customer Outcome Focus: Ensuring that the project outcomes meet or exceed customer expectations is a central responsibility. This includes monitoring and reporting on project quality and results.

  • Individual Contributor Role: The PSC operates as an individual contributor, which means they are not directly managing a team but are responsible for their specific projects and tasks. Success in this role is based on their personal contributions and expertise. PSCs will provide delegation of tasks, mentorship, and coaching to Implementation and Senior Implementation Specialists on the team.

Location, travel, and in-office requirements:

AlayaCare supports a flexible hybrid working model, expecting that our employees have a regular in-office presence at their closest office location while offering flexibility for some remote work. Our team encourages in-person collaboration and with this, the preferred candidate location for this position would be within the Greater Toronto Area. Candidates with transferrable experience in other key regions of Canada (Montréal, areas surrounding the GTA or surrounding the Greater Montréal area) will be considered permitted that they be open to some travel to Toronto.

Travel will be required for conferences, customer onsite meetings, and events within North America.

What you'll bring to the team:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (business, health sciences, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role (Implementation Consultant, Professional Services Consultant, EMR Implementation Project Management, home health/post-acute care technology or business consulting, etc.
  • Software Implementation experience is strongly preferred
  • Technical proficiency and the ability to adopt and optimize various tools and software
  • Presentation experience and comfortability in delivering information to small and medium-sized groups, both virtually and in person
  • Passion to understand customers’ business goals and challenges
  • Recognizes and articulates complex problems related to a project
  • Knowledge of the AlayaCare platform (or other EMR platforms) would be an asset
  • Willingness to participate in some North American (CAN/USA) travel, up to 10% of the time
