About the Role:
AlayaCare is looking for a talented Graphic Designer to join our marketing team! Reporting to the Creative Director, the Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating and maintaining the visual presence of the AlayaCare brand. With a clear understanding of the new brand guidelines, the Graphic Designer will execute professional, creative and effective designs including graphics for website, social posts, emails, multi-page promotional documents, motion graphics and more.
A Graphic Designer for us, requires a quick understanding of marketing campaigns and the ability to translate them into effective digital experiences by factoring in web best-practices and a solid foundation of core design and typographic principles. For this role having experience in UI/UX design and motion graphics is valued.
This is a full-time position and our team is ideally seeking candidates located within the Greater Toronto area with a willingness to spend a minimum of 1 day per week in our Toronto office location (Financial District - Yonge and Richmond area). Candidates with relevant experience will be considered in other key locations (Victoria, Montreal, etc.).
What you'll be responsible for:
- Works directly with the Creative Director to execute design deliverables for marketing and other departments.
- Creates design collateral for client presentations, events, and conferences.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure that the design deliverables communicate clearly in a form that is tailored to the needs of its audience.
- Ensures brand consistency throughout various design projects.
- Has a vast knowledge of visual design approaches and best practices for graphic design and information visualization.
- Works under limited guidance and proactively looks for guidance from others when needed.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
What we're looking for:
- An undergraduate degree in a related field of study
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Experience within SaaS would be a definite asset
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
- Mastery of PowerPoint
- Highly skilled in vector illustration and image editing
- Proficient in page layout and document layout skills
- Proficient in Motion Graphics
- Must have a strong portfolio that demonstrates versatility and a broad range of design knowledge and skills.
- Must be willing to participate in quarterly travel for some in-person meetings at our Toronto location (if not based in the GTA), or a minimum of once weekly in-person onsite in Toronto if based in the GTA
