Senior Global Sales Manager – Fruits & Vegetables

Agri-Neo’s mission is to help safely feed the world. Our vision to accomplish this is to set new food safety standards with our treatments for many foods. We have developed a solution that can provide a kill step for pathogens and micro reduction on fruits and vegetables, both IQF and fresh cut, that can be validated. In these industries, no such intervention currently exists – only produce wash is employed to clean physical debris off of product, but nothing that consistently achieves a high enough level of bacterial and fungal control required for these ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook foods. We are looking for a motivated Senior Global Sales Manager – Fruits & Vegetables to join our commercial team to help us accelerate market adoption for our solution.
POSITION SUMMARY
As our Senior Global Sales Manager – Fruits & Vegetables, you will sell our food safety solution to the fruits and vegetables market, starting with Individually Quick Frozen (IQF) fruits and vegetables segment. To do this, you will prioritize market segments that our solution can provide the strongest returns and develop compelling business cases focused on opportunities for revenue generation and cost savings that it can provide to food processors. You will be able to synthesize various factors, including market need and trends, competitive dynamics, unit economics, financial models, and regulatory environment to create a comprehensive sales strategy. You will also lead our efforts to build advocacy along the supply chain to create pull for our solution. You will be comfortable in building your own sales pipeline and closing deals utilizing a number of connection points, including industry associations, conferences, tradeshows, and networking events. You will build relationships with influencers of our target customers, including major ingredient buyers, consumer packaged goods companies, and retailers to get them to advocate for the adoption of our solution with their vendors (our target customers). You will work closely with your colleagues in commercial, including sales, marketing, and account management, and other functions like Sciences and Engineering to help prioritize our R&D efforts. You will have a clear understanding of our solution and be able to demonstrate how they work in in-person or virtual meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell our solution to the Fruits & Vegetables industry, starting with the Individually Quick Frozen (IQF) segment.
- Identify and prioritize target by developing comprehensive business cases factoring in market / competitive / value chain dynamics, regulatory environment, and unit economics.
- Conduct primary market research and analyze trends in market, regulatory, and competition for our solution.
- Build relationships with influencers in supply chain to create advocacy and market pull.
- Attend conferences, tradeshows, and networking events.
- Create and present a strong value proposition through business development proposals and product demonstrations.
- Work cross-functionally to disseminate research findings and market analysis, make recommendations on opportunities, and provide input on R&D priorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, or Engineering.
- 10+ years of sales experience, with 5+ years of sales experience to the Fruits & Vegetables industry.
- Strong preference in frozen fruits and vegetables and products such as produce wash (systems and solution).
- Successful track record of building proven high ROI business cases for new market opportunities, including all leading all phases of work – discovering new market segments, developing compelling value propositions, and securing anchor clients.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with demonstrated ability to figure out potential target market segments with minimal guidance.
- Strong technical acumen. Possess a natural curiosity and ability to quickly understand food safety technology.
- Passion for business development, with prior experience in developing network of relationships to build advocacy for sales offerings.
- Must have a valid passport and driver’s license for international travel.
- Must be able to travel +50% of the time.

- Use influencing skills to gain alignment, agreement, and commitments (internal/external).
- Sound presentation skills, both in development of compelling stories around technical data and presenting them at all levels within customer and internal organization.
- Must have excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills.
- Desire and aptitude to learn technical product features.
