JOB TITLE: Social Media Producer
REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing

LOCATION: Virtual Office with quarterly team meetings in Toronto

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
We’re looking for a dynamic Social Media Producer who blends strategic thinking, creative content execution, and hands-on channel management to drive our brand forward across social platforms.
OWNERSHIP:
You will be responsible for enhancing our brand awareness and visibility by creating engaging content that drives interaction, strengthens our brand presence, and aligns with our overall marketing objectives. You bring both analytical and creative skills, using data-driven insights to craft compelling content that truly resonates with our target audiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy Development
- Support the development of social strategies aligned with overall brand and business goals
- Help identify audience segments and adapt messaging for each platform (LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Blue Sky, etc.)
- Stay current with trends, platform updates, and new tools (especially AI-driven content tools) to inform production planning
Content Creation & Management
- Produce and publish engaging content across platforms—videos, graphics, reels, carousels, stories, and more
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to bring content to life
- Maintain and manage detailed social content calendars that support campaigns, product launches, and key initiatives
Campaign Management
- Plan and run paid social campaigns—monitor budgets, track performance, and optimize for ROI
- Lead integrated, cross-platform campaigns with cohesive messaging and visuals
- Test and experiment with new formats and tactics to drive performance
Analytics & Optimization
- Track KPIs using tools like Google Analytics, native platform dashboards, and third-party tools
- Turn insights into clear recommendations and next steps
- Monitor engagement, traffic, and conversions—and adjust when needed
Community & Collaboration
- Actively engage with our social community—respond to comments and messages with the right tone and timing
- Build relationships with influencers, advocates, and partners
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clear, consistent communication and foster a culture of knowledge-sharing through impactful content.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience in social media strategy, digital marketing, or content production
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media campaigns across platforms (LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, etc.)
- Experience managing paid media campaigns (budgeting, A/B testing, ROI analysis)
- Background working in B2B, tech, SaaS, or content-heavy environments is a plus
- Strong understanding of platform algorithms, trends, and audience behaviors
- Solid grasp of analytics tools like Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, etc.
- Ability to interpret data and turn insights into strategic action
- Strong content skills: visual direction, copywriting, or managing creative production
- Comfortable working with (or directing) video, design, and interactive formats
- Familiarity with AI tools for content ideation or optimization (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper, Canva’s AI features)
- Highly collaborative and able to work across departments (Marketing, PR, Product, etc.)
- Strong communicator—both in writing and verbally
- Strategic but hands-on: someone who can plan, execute, and optimize
- Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments and can juggle multiple priorities
- Past work with influencers or social partnerships
- Understanding of SEO and how it integrates with social and content
- Experience in brand storytelling or editorial planning
