DIVISION / DEPARTMENT: Marketing
LOCATION: Virtual Office with quarterly company team meetings in Toronto
WHO WE ARE:
We’re the team of motivated, curious, and dedicated individuals behind Agility: the easy-to-use CMS with ridiculously good support. We are helpful, unpretentious, and playful; work hard, play hard as they say.
Our premium content management system gives enterprises the best of both worlds. It removes the technical restrictions that slow down development teams and gives content creators more autonomy to get things done faster. It’s the modern content platform for websites, apps, and other digital properties.
With our roots in technology services and consulting, prioritizing our clients’ success is in our DNA. We are committed to continuous improvement, regularly leveraging feedback to enhance our product and deliver outstanding service.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
As the next step in building our marketing department, we are looking for an individual contributor to assume ownership of our digital presence. This person will be responsible for creating awareness of Agility CMS and engaging prospects and customers throughout various digital channels. They will accomplish this by focusing on content creation and participation in relevant online discussions, with the ultimate goal of driving new business.
We’re looking for someone who is both social media savvy and scrappy. Someone who enjoys jumping into the comments section (and DMs if necessary) and mixing it up as a representative of the brand. The right individual must also have impeccable writing skills as they will be crafting copy for emails, web pages, social media posts, and more. We’re a small team, so we’re looking for a self-starter who can make progress on projects and goals with no need for micromanagement. Someone who can work with their manager (the Head of Marketing), understand the strategy and goals, and run with a plan and execution to accomplish those goals.
A self-motivated, inquisitive go-getter, the ideal person for this role is comfortable saying, “I don’t know, but let me do some research and get back to you” when confronted with a problem they don’t know the answer to. They embody the spirit of Rowan in Elbert Hubbard’s 1899 essay, “A Message to Garcia”, and simply get things done. They like taking on challenges and enjoy reaping the rewards that come with accomplishing their goals such as personal, professional, and company growth.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU:
This role represents the unique opportunity to be a founding member of a marketing department that is shaping the Agility CMS brand. You will have direct input into the brand’s strategy, tone of voice, personality and more. You will not be put in a box but rewarded for bringing ideas to the table as well as working hard and never leaving a problem unsolved.
Your growth potential in this role will be limitless. You will work directly with a marketing leader who brings over 17 years of experience and a digitally-focused mindset to the table. As you help the brand grow, you will be first in line to expand your responsibilities and your role as you grow your career. You will work in the most widely used social media and digital communities, perfecting your knowledge of them and honing the valuable skills of utilizing them to drive business.
What you will get out of this role will be largely defined by you. There is a lot to do, and for the right person, there is a lot to be gained.
