We are a bootstrapped and profitable business and we’re looking for a Finance Manager to contribute to financial reporting, indirect tax, and financial analysis as we continue to scale.

As a Finance Manager, you will:

Financial Reporting
  • Prepare and/or review reconciliations that require an end-to-end understanding of business and financial workflows
  • Prepare and maintain clear accounting documentation and memos to support accounting positions, estimates, and policies
  • Ensure data accuracy across billing, payment gateways, and GL systems as well as integrity of revenue recognition
  • Review work prepared by the accounting team, identifying gaps, risks, or inconsistencies, provide clear guidance and implementing controls
  • Liaise with external auditors and support audit requests as required
Indirect Tax
  • Partner with a Senior Accountant to own indirect tax compliance, including U.S. sales tax, Canadian HST, and international VAT
  • Ensure accurate tax-related journal entries and reconciliations
  • Analyze billing and tax data to validate tax calculations and postings
  • Support tax compliance processes and work with external advisors or tools as needed
  • Help improve processes and controls related to indirect tax compliance

Financial Analysis
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to support accounting conclusions, reconciliations, forecasts/budgets and management questions
  • Use advanced Excel skills to analyze data, identify issues, and explain variances
  • Provide analytical support to the Director of Finance on special projects or investigations as required

What you'll bring:

  • CPA designation with public accounting experience
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain accounting and financial topics clearly
  • Experience supporting indirect tax compliance (U.S. sales tax, Canadian HST, and/or international VAT) is considered a strong asset


Compensation

Our base salary for this role ranges from $91,200to $136,800CAD. Compensation is determined by factors such as market salary data within Canada, technical skills, previous work history, and internal pay equity. Many positions also include additional variable compensation, which our Talent Acquisition team will discuss with you during the interview process.
