Role Summary:
We are looking for an ambitious and driven Tableau Developer to design, develop, and maintain interactive, user-friendly Tableau dashboards and visualizations that provide actionable insights based on business requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience and skill, partnering with stakeholders to deliver a high level of insight.
In this role, you will be responsible for:Tableau Development & Visualization- Design, develop, and maintain Tableau dashboards, reports, and visualizations based on business requirements.
- Ensure dashboards are interactive, user-friendly, and optimized for performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective Tableau solutions.
- Apply best practices for data visualization and storytelling to provide actionable insights.
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources.
- Work with relational databases to ensure efficient data retrieval and integration.
- Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines to support reporting needs.
- Assist in data analysis and interpretation to support decision-making processes.
- Identify data inconsistencies, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity.
- Collaborate with senior developers and data engineers to enhance data models and reporting structures.
- Work closely with business teams to understand key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights.
- Document data sources, dashboards, and SQL queries for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Assist in the development of Tableau best practices and standard operating procedures.
- Provide support and training to end users on dashboard functionalities and data interpretation.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- 3-5 years of experience working with Tableau in a professional setting
- Proficiency in creating dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server
- Intermediate SQL skills with the ability to write and optimize queries for data extraction and transformation
- Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with other BI tools (Power BI, Looker, etc.) is a plus
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or R for data analysis
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google BigQuery
- Experience working in an Agile environment
