As the Sales Operations Manager, you will take full ownership of and enhance the sales processes and reporting mechanisms within Absorb’s Account Management function. This role involves a comprehensive approach to streamlining workflows, improving data accuracy, and ensuring that all sales activities are aligned with strategic objectives. By optimizing these processes, you will drive greater efficiency, foster stronger client relationships, and ultimately boost overall sales performance. Additionally, you will implement robust reporting systems that provide valuable insights, supporting decision-making and contributing to the ongoing success of the organization. Your leadership in this area will be crucial for maximizing the effectiveness of our sales team and achieving our business goals.

What you’ll do:

  • Tech Stack Ownership: Oversee and manage our sales technology stack (Salesforce, Gong, Salesloft), ensuring tools are optimized, and fully leveraged to support upselling and cross-selling initiatives.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Own and optimize forecasting models that accurately predict revenue from existing customers. Ensure timely reporting and visibility into progress against upsell and cross-sell targets, using advanced data analysis and tools.
  • Sales Process Optimization: Work with our Sales Trainer to refine sales workflows and strategies specifically tailored for upselling and cross-selling, ensuring technology and process enhancements contribute to improved sales outcomes.
  • CRM Management and Data Integrity: Ensure key tools are fully optimized and maintained, providing accurate insights into customer relationships, account health, and upsell/cross-sell opportunities, while supporting the forecasting process.
  • Performance Analytics: Analyze sales performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities, ensuring forecasting and data-driven decisions are informed by real-time insights and aligned with upsell and cross-sell goals.
  • Collaboration with AMs and Leaders: Partner closely with the Account Management team to ensure they have the tools, resources, and data necessary to engage customers for upselling and cross-selling, aligning efforts with forecasting goals.
  • Sales Enablement: Collaborate with our Sales Trainer and Customer Marketing to equip the Account Management team with the right training, messaging, and resources to effectively upsell and cross-sell.
  • Customer Segmentation and Targeting: Use tech tools and forecasting data to create customer segmentation strategies, prioritizing accounts with high upsell and cross-sell potential.
  • Collaboration with Customer Success and Marketing: Work closely with customer success and marketing teams to align on strategies, campaigns, and customer touchpoints, integrating insights from forecasting to enhance revenue opportunities from the existing customer base.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales operations, business operations, or a related field, preferably in a SaaS or technology environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Gong, Salesloft) and sales analytics tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proven experience working collaboratively across teams, including sales, marketing, and finance.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and a track record of implementing successful process changes.
  • Ability to think strategically and align sales operations with overall business objectives.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams or mentoring junior staff
  • Comfort with various software applications and the ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Strong understanding of customer needs and the ability to translate them into operational strategies.
