About the role:

Is the act of crunching numbers more of an art for you than a task? Do you thrive in an environment where learning is continuous and there is ample opportunity to influence process efficiencies? Our Accounting & Finance department is hiring for an Accounts Payable Analyst to join the team and showcase their skills. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with other like-minded number gurus, is very comfortable using excel, and has experience with managing automated accounts payable and expense systems, processing invoices, corporate credit card charges and developing and completing expense reports.

What you'll do:

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
• Prepare semi-monthly payroll entries.
• Manage automated accounts payable system that processes invoices, corporate credit card charges, and expense reports.
• Reviewing invoices for proper approvals and account coding to make sure it is correct and in line with the budget
• Assisting with month-end close and meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
• Responding to information requests and assisting with audits.
• Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures, complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
• Assisting the accounting manager as needed.

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 2+ years of related experience including accounts payable.
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
• Must have intermediate Excel skills.
• Good problem-solving and time management skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Additional preferred requirements

• Exposure to different types of currencies, such as CAD, USD, EUR, AUS.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (NetSuite, SAP Concur).
• Experience using an automated accounts payable system.
