We are looking for an enthusiastic scientist to join the QC team as a QC Analyst, to proficiently perform analytical method qualifications, sampling and routine testing in accordance with approved testing methods of raw materials, in-process materials, packaging materials and finished products. You will play an important role in ensuring that AbCellera's Quality Control testing meets the highest standards of quality and compliance.

How you might spend your days

  • Performing sample and routine testing in accordance with approved testing methods of raw materials, in-process materials, packaging materials, and finished products while supporting environmental monitoring for cleanroom facility
  • Contributing to method qualification/transfer activities such as writing working instructions, operational SOPs, test methods, protocols, executing and drafting the report for method qualifications/transfers
  • Performing all routine and stability testing in the analytical laboratory including UPLC, CE-SDS, icIEF, SEC and other separation and compendial techniques in accordance with FDA, USP, ICH and internal SOPs
  • Drafting the reports for out-of-specification (OOS) and/or out-of-trend (OOT) results during release and stability testing in close collaboration with internal teams and/or external testing labs
  • Complying with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintaining strict and accurate quality control documentation of all test procedures and results
  • Supporting all activities directly related to the start-up and operational readiness of the GMP QC labs including facilities, calibration of equipment, methods and procedures, and sample and data flows
  • Supporting execution and review of instrument qualification/requalification and Computerized System Validation

We’d love to hear from you if

  • You have bachelor’s or master’s degree in an applicable science and 5+ years of relevant QC experience
  • You have a strong knowledge and experience in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), QC analytical and bioanalytical testing and method qualification requirements
  • You have experience with using HPLC, UPLC, capillary electrophoresis, imaged capillary isoelectric focusing, microtiter plate reader spectrophotometer instrumentation and software; microbiology background highly desirable
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and in a team environment, detail oriented and organized and methodical in execution of tasks
  • You have an ability to problem solve with sound analytical thinking

What we offer

AbCellera’s hiring range for this role is CAD $80,000 - $100,000 annually, commensurate with your education and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we offer equity, annual bonus dependent on team and company performance, and a 6% (non-match) RRSP contribution.
