We are looking for a Program and Project Manager will lead strategic, multi-disciplinary initiatives that support the firm’s investment, operational, and technology objectives. This role is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of interrelated projects (programs) while also driving specific projects from initiation to execution. You will partner with leaders across Investments, Sales, Operations and Compliance to ensure all initiatives are delivered efficiently, aligned with business priorities, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Project Management
- Develop detailed project plans defining scope, milestones, resources, and budgets.
- Track progress through structured status updates, risk logs, and stakeholder reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and client mandates across all project phases.
- Conduct weekly project team meetings to review progress against the project schedule, address and resolve issues at the team level, and escalate critical items to the Executive Team
- Identify and bring forward suggestions for process & template improvements to for discussions.
Program Management
- Oversee the planning and execution of multiple projects within enterprise-wide programs (e.g., system upgrades, regulatory initiatives, new product launches).
- Focus on product and reporting initiatives while coordinating with cross functional departments to assess organizational capacity and adjust priorities as needed.
- Meet with department leads on all projects, collate all the weekly update info, flagging key issues for the executive team, circulate it, and coordinate any actions out of it.
- Partner with cross functional teams to automate workflows and strengthen controls.
- Manage vendor and third-party relationships that support program goals (e.g., technology providers, custodians, consultants).
- Ensure all projects align with enterprise risk frameworks and regulatory standards (e.g., OSC, IIROC, SEC, MiFID II) – not sure if all is applicable in our industry?
- Monitor adherence to project governance, change management, and data privacy requirements.
- Support firm-wide transformation programs (e.g., digital transformation, ESG integration, data modernization).
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of project/program management experience within financial services—ideally in asset management, wealth management, or investment operations.
- PMP or Project Management Certificate an asset
- Proven experience managing cross-departmental projects (e.g., technology migrations, fund launches, regulatory reporting).
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of investment products (mutual funds, ETFs, institutional portfolios, private markets) is an asset.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on delivery capability.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills under tight deadlines.
