Senior Corporate Accountant

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, 3iQ is looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant who will be a major contributor to the finance team and organization. Responsible for monthly financial reporting and analysis and month-end processes, the successful candidate will be a key part of the finance team and will provide critical insights for the strategic decision-making team within the organization. The team collaboration skills brought to this role will assist with team building not only within the finance group but across all departments within the organization. Duties
· Prepare monthly financial reports with detailed variance analysis to provide key insights to Senior management
· Prepare annual audited financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS
· Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits
· Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
· Assist in the implementation of new accounting software, ensuring data transfer is complete and accurate and the new systems are set up to meet all reporting requirements
· Develop and implement robust internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records
· Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns
· Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices
· Ad hoc reporting duties as requested
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-5 years experience in corporate accounting preferably within the investment fund industry
- Experience with monthly financial reporting and analysis
- Undergraduate degree with a focus on Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting or commerce; CPA or equivalent certification
- Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting principles and practices
- Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills is essential along with excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of products
- Experience dealing with audits is preferred but not mandatory
- Exceptional ability to be highly collaborative and flexible in a very dynamic environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Analytical and problem-solving skills that are above average
- Proficiency in accounting software (Business Central or Quickbooks is preferred)
